omega 3!!! only omega 3 and not omega 3, 6, 9 pills

In North America, I find taking multivitamin pills and other supplement pills is a routine for many people.  There are many supplements pills like calcium, omega, garlic extracts, vitamin C pills....you name it, you might be able to find it :) The one i want to talk about today is omega fatty acid/oil.

You might ask, why do we need to take fatty acid/ oil supplements,  shouldn't we lower our daily oil intake??
Yes, we should lower our daily oil intake, but we should only be lowering the bad bad oil intake.  Minimize bad fat or oil like cholesterol or trans fat that will clot your arteries, or cause you to have high cholesterol.  As human ( I am assuming if you are reading this, you are a human being :) ) we do need oil in our body to function normally.  Every single cell in our body is cover by membrane that is composed by fat.  We need that to keep our cells alive hence keeping you alive.  We also need good fatty acid/ oil in our body cause we need hormone to survive.  Many hormones are fat based, without fatty acids, you wouldn't have regular hormone production...(  and this its bad...trust me!!! female without estrogen can grown facial hair etc etc).

Omega 3, 6 and 9 are all good fatty acid/oil for your body.  According to http://www.womentowomen.com/nutrition/omega-3-fatty-acids-essential-to-health-and-happiness/
Omegas not only have a positive influence on heart disease or hypertension which can be caused by the accumulation of bad fat in ones body, it can also help with alzheimers and diabetes.  How cool is that!!!!!!!

Since Omega 3, 6 and 9 are so great for us, and both omega 3 and omega 3, 6, 9 supplements are available for purchase at local groceries or health food stores, shouldn't we buy the one that contains all 3, 6, 9 instead of only 3.

I know... i used to think like that too until i learned more about omegas...

According to
 http://www.sheknows.com/health-and-wellness/articles/7250/the-omega-vs-omega-controversy  and  http://www.omega-9oils.com/omega-9-advantage/healthier-profile/omega-3-6-9.htm
Omega 6 and 9 can be found in vegetable oil in high amount .  Soybean, canola oil are all high in omega 6  and 9 fatty acid.  Since they are heavily produced in North America,  they are pretty cheap to buy in bulk to extract oil from. So why do we need a pay a premium to buy them in pill forms..........

On the other hand, our star of the night omega 3 is harder to come across from plants.  The most common way to get our omega 3 fatty acid from is from fishes. One of the few plants that i know of that contains omega 3 in their seed is flax seed but it is not cheap.    Most people who go the market will know fishes and flax seeds are a lot more expensive than vegetables.  (... duh of course......even if you dont go to the market, you would know too... ) Since we know omega 3 is more expensive, so when you are given the option of paying the same amount to buy omega 3, or omega 3, 6, 9.   I think its a better idea to buy omega 3 :) NON?

I am going to go take my omega 3 pill now.... talk to you guys next time.
